Funding Resources
The Research + Industry Office supports faculty in securing funding for creative and scholarly projects through Tri-Agency programs and other grant opportunities.
We provide resources to help researchers secure grant funding, grow their practice, collaborate and share their work with wider communities.

Funding Opportunities
Research through creative and scholarly activity is a vital part of the Emily Carr University community. The Research + Industry Office supports faculty in developing and sharing their research, across the pre- and post-award processing, including administering grant funds and hiring Research Assistants.
Applying for Funding
Both regular and non-regular faculty may apply for external research funding. For projects lasting a year or more, non-regular faculty are encouraged to partner with regular faculty as co-investigators or collaborators.
Please note that SSHRC requires principal investigators to be institutionally affiliated. All faculty members are encouraged to connect with the Research + Industry Office and review the funding agency sites below for details on available grants.
