Description

Whether a single image, a sequence captured across panels, a scroll unrolling or non-linear series of images, narrative drawing tells a story through non-literary, visual representations. Narratives take place in a space that unfolds in time, but their representation in visual arts practices can vary widely in style, form and scale. Explore the possibilities of visual narratives, including monoscenic, continuous and sequential forms, in this dynamic, expressive drawing course. You will continue to build essential drawing skills, with an emphasis the development of experimentation and visual storytelling techniques. Suitable for those with a background in traditional and contemporary drawing who are developing an interest in graphic novels, animation, character design, and illustration practices.
