The Digital Output Centre (DOC) supports your creative work, from large-format posters, vinyl cutting and artwork scanning. Get expert help preparing your files for outputting to various devices at affordable prices. Students, faculty and staff can submit files using various devices at affordable rates.

How to Access Services
Self-Service
Tap your OneCard to access the DOC (Room C4230). Printers for immediate use are located on the left side of the room.
Full Service
Technicians are available for in-person or remote support with file setup, submissions and payments. All DOC full-service access or requests for assistance require an appointment.

Colour Laser Printer
The Canon imagePRESS V700 produces the highest quality image and colour results to meet the challenges of our creative community. The imagePRESS V700 colour digital press delivers precise 2400-dpi resolution, highly accurate registration and wide colour gamut in order to ensure the closest colour matches that a laser printer can offer. This printer can also handle double-sided printing.
Black + White Laser Printing
The Ricoh Pro 8300 series digital press helps you get as close as possible to the appearance of offset printing, but at laser printing prices. It’s perfect for short to medium size runs with the added bonus of no ozone emissions, fuser oil or developer and virtually no toner waste. This printer can also handle double-sided printing.
Wide-Format Inkjet Printing
The Canon imagePROGRAF Pro 4000 printer uses the Canon’s LUCIA PRO 11-Color plus Chroma Optimizer ink system that produces a wide colour gamut on both photo and matte papers. It prints at resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 dpi so that gradients appear smooth and the fine details in your files are rendered accurately. This printer only manages single-sided printing.
Wide-Format Toner Printing
The DOC is able to produce high quality, yet affordable, prints on the Canon ColorWAVE T65 toner printer. This unique printing technology starts with solid CMYK toner “pearls”, then melts them to print with the same technique as inkjet printers in order to achieve vibrant prints. The ColorWAVE T65 has a printing resolution of 600 dpi and is able to print on a wide variety of uncoated stocks in order to allow for a more affordable printing choice. This printer only manages single-sided printing.
Vinyl Cutting
Because it is known around the world for its high precision cutting, and build quality, the DOC has chosen the Graphtec FC8600 as our solution for the signage and vinyl cutting needs. The DOC offers a wide range of vinyl colours & roll sizes to give you a better choice for your vinyl signage.
Wide Format Scanning
Affordable wide format scanning service are available and also includes an optional review of the file produced in order to ensure we got it right. The scans are done on the ROWE 450i contact feed scanner for original widths of up to 44 inches and up to 0.118 inches thick.
