Join us for the Opening Reception of the Tender Systems exhibition which runs March 12-21st. The reception features live music by Windfola + DJ Skytrain in collaboration with Radio Emily
In Tender Systems, artists examine the delicate structures that hold individuals, communities, dreams, utopias and environments together.
Through sculpture, animation, textiles, drawing, painting, sound, installation and participatory practices, the works reveal systems of care that operate across landscapes and social relationships. Rather than fixed frameworks, these systems are shown as unstable as complex: responsive, ever-evolving, and deeply vulnerable.
The exhibition considers how acts of collaboration and intimacy sustain forms of life within conditions of ecological-social-political precarity. By foregrounding gestures of repair and collective making, Tender Systems proposes practices of tenderness not as weaknesses, but as a powerful method for imagining more connected ways of living.
The exhibition brings together 11 student-led shows by ECUAD students and it was organized by the Student Exhibitions / Student Union.
