Reimagine design + lead change.
Our two-year, full-time Master of Design (Interdisciplinary) is a research and practice-based degree that equips creative professionals to tackle complex challenges through innovative, human-centered design. The program integrates social, technological, and experiential approaches to foster sustainable, impactful transformations.
As an MDes Interdisciplinary student, you’ll engage in generative coursework while developing an independent thesis project specializing in your chosen field of design
What You’ll Learn
You will develop an interdisciplinary design practice through research seminars and studio classes that span different fields of design.
More wide-ranging than the Interaction stream, students’ work in the Interdisciplinary cohort focuses on diverse playfulness and hands-on learning, in relation to community, sustainability and social progress. With access to an expansive on-campus suite of studios, labs and research facilities, students are immersed in innovative and formative play within a design field of their choice.
