We now have access to all JSTOR archival journals and primary sources!
The ECU Library now provides full-text access to all JSTOR archival journal collections, many discipline-specific collections, and all primary source collections!
JSTOR (“Journal Storage”) is a digital library of journals. They partner with libraries, museums, and publishers to reduce costs, extend access, and preserve scholarship for the future. Learn more about JSTOR here.
This means that you can now access the full archival runs of over 2800 journals in the arts, humanities and social sciences, some dating as far back as the 1600s, as well as rich primary source materials.
The collections are:
- JSTOR Archive Journal Collections: Arts & Sciences 1-15, Business IV, Hebrew Journals, Ireland, Life Sciences, Lives of Literature, Public Health Journals, Security Studies, & Sustainability
- Primary Source Collections: 19th Century British Pamphlets, World Heritage Sites: Africa, Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa, & Global Plants.
JSTOR content is indexed and searchable in General Search. You can also access JSTOR directly, the same way as before.
Note that for the majority of journals in JSTOR, there is a delay of 3-5 years before recent issues are made available. This is determined by JSTOR’s agreements with the journal publishers.
We will be assessing usage of this expanded access to JSTOR sources over the next year. Have questions or feedback? Please contact Michelle Ng, Electronic Resources + Discovery Librarian.
