Get Connected
Find everything you need to access your email, Wi-Fi and university systems. If you’re having trouble, you’ll also find tips and links to support here.
Connect to ECU WI-FI
Wi-Fi is available throughout campus for students, faculty, staff and guests.

Set Up Your ECU Account (ECU Login + Password)
- New students: check your welcome email for instructions.
- Use your ECU username and password to log in to services such as ECU Wi-Fi, MyEC, email, M365 tools and more.
- Forgotten password or username? Find what you need using our Account Self-Service Instructions.
Still need help with authentication? Submit a ticket.
Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
To help protect your account, all ECU students, faculty and staff are required to use two-factor authentication (2FA). This adds an extra layer of security by requiring two steps to log in: your ECU password and a verification code from an app on your phone or another trusted device. Even if someone gets your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the second step.

Set Up + Access ECU Email
All ECU students receive an ECU email account. Full set up instructions are provided in student acceptance emails. This is the official way the university communicates with you about registration, courses, deadlines and campus events. Avoid missing key info by setting it up early and checking it often.
You can access your email at email.ecuad.ca from any device, on or off campus.
Locked out or can’t remember your username? See our setup guide to learn if self-service is possible
MyEC: Manage your Info, Courses and Records
MyEC is your online hub for academic, financial and personal information at ECU. You can update your contact details, register for classes, view grades, download tax forms and more.
It’s also where you can set your chosen or cultural name to appear correctly across systems like class lists and email.
