Renting space at ECU is simple. Submit a booking request, connect with our Events team to confirm details, and secure your rental with a deposit and proof of insurance. Our versatile campus spaces book up quickly, so you can start early to reserve your ideal date.

To ensure your event is successful, we request a minimum of three weeks’ notice for technical consultation, the arrangement of ECU staff, and submission of files/testing.

If you are considering alcohol service at your event, please be sure to read the Alcohol + Smoking on Campus guidelines before you begin filling out the form.

Once your requested dates and space(s) are confirmed, a member of our Events team will contact you to discuss the details.
 
You’ll receive a quote and a Facilities Use Agreement (FUA) outlining the event specifics. Please note that the FUA is an estimate and does not include taxes. Final staffing fees may vary based on the actual requirements on the day of your event.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, debit, cheque or EFT for payment. Deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of the event.

All events require liability insurance in the amount of $5M. A certificate of insurance (COI) must be submitted at least 10 days before the event. Emily Carr University of Art + Design must be named as an additional insured.

Your space may be released if payment + insurance is not received by the requested date(s).
