Description

In our digital world, user interfaces act as the literal and figurative touchpoint for apps, websites, kiosks and other interactions. Well designed interfaces center the user, and help achieve their goal in the most straightforward way possible. This course will introduce the fundamentals of design as it pertains to user interfaces, and specific UI design principles that will help you build responsive, useful interfaces no matter the device. Whether you are new to design, transitioning to UI design or looking to expand your knowledge of design as a whole, this course will help you analyze, deconstruct, and create well designed user interfaces with the end-user in mind.

What You'll Learn

  1. Understanding fundamentals of UI design such as colour, typography, spacing, grids, layout, navigation, design patterns, responsive design, principles of UI
  2. Demonstrate how to build high-fidelity wireframes and clickable prototypes using UI design principles
  3. Analyze and deconstruct existing UI designs for their strengths and areas of improvement
  4. Create or Redesign an online portfolio that incorporates the fundamentals of UI design
  5. Prepare and present a deck on your UI design
