Description

This course explores professionalism, networking and communication as key components to finding connections and employment in your chosen industry. You will identify roles and job opportunities that fit your interests, learn to speak confidently about your skills and passion, and build networking strategies through online and community presence. Through improvisation, storytelling, mock interviews, and workshop activies, this course will help you prepare for success.

What You'll Learn

  1. Identify potential career paths, including job requirements and growth potential
  2. Identify and describe current skills and strengths that are transferable to the workplace
  3. Use storytelling techniques to translate skills, experience and interests into a compelling narrative
  4. Research open roles and postings that match your skills and interests
  5. Write a series of questions to ask a potential employer in order to gain information about the role
  6. Roleplay interview scenarios and elevator pitches with peers and give feedback
