Description

While User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design are often associated with web and app development, they play a crucial role in video games as well. From logo splash screens and menu systems to heads-up displays (HUDs) and interactive elements, UI/UX shapes the way players engage with games. This course builds on your existing UI/UX knowledge and focuses on applying these principles within a game engine. You will explore unique design considerations for games and learn how to create interactive interfaces using Unity's UI toolset. Through hands-on projects, you will design, develop, and implement functional UI components that enhance player experience.

  1. Identify player needs and design UI/UX solutions that enhance gameplay and accessiblity
  2. Demonstrate familiarity with UI tools in Unity
  3. Build and implement a user-friendly UI kit
  4. Navigate and utilize Unity's UI tools to create interactive game interfaces
