Description

Gain the foundational knowledge necessary to formulate a vision for a video game, and learn how to effectively communicate that idea.From understanding your audience and different players, to recognizing common industry jargon, this course explores essential principles of game design. Through hands-on assignments, discussions and presentations, you will explore introductory design topics such as randomness and strategy, rules and players when defining an idea for a game. By the end of this course, you will understand how different people approach games from different perspectives, and how to use that knowledge to create a more holistic experience that appeals to a wider audience.
