Bio

Phil Ollenberg leads student recruitment, admissions and student transfer for ECU. He is a seasoned leader and voice in strategic enrolment management with experience across Western Canada. His focus is on cohesive efforts that nurture the right students into the right programs and balance aspirational with operational goals using responsive and data-informed methods. Phil holds a PhD in Education from Taft University and Master and Bachelor degrees in Fine Arts from the University of Regina. His past research has focused on Western Canadian student affairs and on consumer attitudes towards the fine arts.

Research Interests

Outside of ECU, Phil teaches, researches and publishes on best practices in strategic enrolment management, and is an active queer rights advocate.
