Bio

Narita is a Filipina-Canadian designer currently living and learning as a guest on the unceded and ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people, where she graduated from the Master of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Dual Degree program at the University of British Columbia. She is the recipient of the 2021 IOC IPC IAKS Bronze Medal Architecture & Design Award for Young Professionals and has completed fellowships with the Canadian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Banff Centre.

Research Interests

Narita’s work is grounded in cultural knowledge with a focus on handcrafts combined with technical skills. She believes that designing for community requires architects to engage with interconnected systems including the people, land, and waters.
