Bio
Lindsay McIntyre is an award-winning filmmaker of Inuit and settler descent whose short documentaries, animations and experimental films explore portraiture, place and personal histories. Working with analogue processes and handmade 16mm emulsions, she also creates expanded cinema performances. Lindsay has made more than 40 short films and is developing her first feature The Words We Can’t Speak, winner of the Women in the Director’s Chair Feature Film Award. A cinematographer, editor and production designer, her work has screened internationally at festivals and museums. She is an Associate Professor of Film + Screen Arts at ECU on unceded Coast Salish territories.
