Bio

Kayla is an award-winning communicator with over 15 years of experience across public education and the non-profit sector. Her expertise spans communications, marketing, brand management, digital strategy, stakeholder engagement, and crisis response. Known for her steady leadership and strategic counsel, she supports executive teams and boards in navigating complex issues with clarity and care. She holds a Master of Arts in Communications from Royal Roads University, a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Certificate in Emergency Management from the University of Victoria.

Research Interests

Kayla is an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, the Pacific Association of Canadian Institutes & Universities, and the Council for Advancement & Support of Education. She has served on the national Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education, helping to strengthen leadership and professional standards for communications professionals across Canada’s education sector.
