Research Interests

Kathleen is a graphic designer with a particular interest in information design, type, lettering, illustration, print and DIY publications...and, as a technician, uses that background to both help students build their own technical skills, and help make sure the COMD studio space and materials are well designed to encourage and facilitate their creative work. Kathleen's practice outside of school is that making comics! She sees it as a medium that has a huge overlap with her design background: it's a visual language that's all about sequential storytelling, and communicating through a combination of image and text.
