Bio

D. Vanessa Kam holds Master degrees in Art History (with a specialization in contemporary Latin American art) and Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been in leadership positions at academic libraries in Canada and the United States for 20 years. Her main interests in librarianship include special collections, particularly artists’ books and archives.

Research Interests

Vanessa’s main creative practice is music. She began her university studies as a piano performance major, and over the years has studied voice, singing in choirs and bands. Vanessa also enjoys photography, travel, karaoke, writing, reading and spending time with her Havanese dog Cosmo.
