Bio
Anaïsa Visser is a biracial filmmaker and arts administrator based in Vancouver. She grew up in Mozambique, the US, and France. Anaïsa holds a BFA in Film, Video and Integrated Media from Emily Carr and an MFA in Film Production and Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. Her films are primarily on topics of mental health and immigration stories. Anaïsa is the Executive Director at Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver. She lives with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, postural tachycardia syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome and is passionate about the inclusion of chronically ill and disabled communities.
