| Description | This course is an introduction to thinking and
working with sound. It covers acoustics, digital
audio properties, production techniques,
composition and listening practices. Students will
work on multiple components, which include
recording, editing, synthesizing, and organizing
sound, and explore sound in context with music,
screens, video games and culture. Short projects
provide opportunities to practice a variety of
common and experimental techniques. No experience
in sound or music is necessary, just open ears.
