| Description | Encourages students to develop self-directed
projects in conjunction with the study of current
and historical painting practices. Students are
expected to complete a series of related projects,
which may address a range of social, political,
subjective, and/or formal concerns. Instruction
provides guidance in the development of technical
and research skills, and the processing of visual
ideas. Students develop a critical vocabulary and
analytical skills through readings, visual
presentations, and group and individual
critiques. |
