Description (ECIAD)

The web plays an essential part in how we interact with people and businesses in today's world. Designing for Screens I explores the principles and practices of interaction design, with a focus on creating engaging screen-based experiences. Students will learn to design interfaces for a variety of digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and interactive kiosks, while considering user experience (UX), usability, and accessibility.

Through a series of collaborative studio sessions, open discussions, critiques, and guest lectures, students will be immersed in the current culture of screen design. Through a blend of theory and hands-on projects, the course covers key topics such as user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and testing. Special emphasis is placed on designing for different screen sizes and devices, understanding user behaviors, and employing modern web technologies.

This course is subject to priority rules; see here.
