| Description (ECIAD) | The web plays an essential part in how we interact with people and businesses in today's world. Designing for Screens I explores the principles and practices of interaction design, with a focus on creating engaging screen-based experiences. Students will learn to design interfaces for a variety of digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and interactive kiosks, while considering user experience (UX), usability, and accessibility. Through a series of collaborative studio sessions, open discussions, critiques, and guest lectures, students will be immersed in the current culture of screen design. Through a blend of theory and hands-on projects, the course covers key topics such as user-centered design, wireframing, prototyping, and testing. Special emphasis is placed on designing for different screen sizes and devices, understanding user behaviors, and employing modern web technologies. |
