Description (ECIAD)

This course in comparative culture emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to the interrelationship of historical and contemporary issues in non-Western traditions. The course fosters perspectives and comprehension from a number of angles which confront the views within and without the student's own acculturation. The course will develop a number of subject areas to accommodate a diverse student interest as Faculty capacities allow, including: First Nations of America, Asian, Indian, Latin American, and other non-Western and aboriginal cultures. Students will undertake critical and creative investigations of the topic for oral, written and media based presentations that engage and challenge practice opportunities and issues found in studio projects.

Each section of this course runs with a different topic. See here .
