| Description | This studio course emphasizes critical inquiry
and studio practice as primary means for
learning. The course blends rigorous individual
and group critiques and provides a balanced
integration of theory, practice, and production,
with access to advanced technologies.
This course explores experimental and innovative
design for media applications. The focus of the
course is to examine how images or objects can
become an interface to media environments.
Emphasis is on experimental and/or expressive
exploration of media environments. Time-based
media environments may include sound, images,
text and/or alternate physical feedback as
triggered through interaction. The works produced
by students draw on the differing skills of the
participants with an emphasis on experimentation,
modeling, prototyping, and interaction as applied
to Media Arts production. |
