| Description | This studio course provides a core experience in
visual arts. It introduces students to the
vocabularies, materials, and methodologies of
contemporary two-dimensional visual art. Through
studio practice and projects, demonstrations,
presentations, and critiques, students will
explore the key ideas, elements, and materials
that form the basis of two-dimensional visual
art, in particular drawing, colour, and
composition. Students will consider, analyze, and
reflect upon the use of these ideas and
principles contextualized in social, historical,
and contemporary frameworks. |
