| Description | Students will explore, through basic studio
practices, a variety of materials and techniques
in the making of objects. Exercises and projects
will advance the student's understanding of the
relationships between ideas, materials,
techniques, and forms of artifacts, both
historical and contemporary. Learning to use
basic tools and develop research and verbal
skills will increase the student's confidence.
Demonstrations, visual presentations, and
critiques will introduce a variety of materials,
forms, and contexts.
