Description (ECIAD)Painting from life trains your eye in a way that no other discipline does, allowing artists to represent their unique vision and experience of the world around them. In this course, you work with life models, still life arrangements and the surrounding environment to explore the intricacies of the human form and complexity of life to create dynamic compositions. You will develop an understanding of light, shadow and form, and practice observational techniques that will help you translate what you see onto the canvas and discover the satisfaction of painting from life. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills to create expressive paintings that showcase your ability to represent the world through observation.
