Description (ECIAD)Illustration is a dynamic practice linking images to text, distilling thematic concepts through relatable imagery, and catching the attention of an audience. It has been used to illuminate text throughout human history and has become a sought after skill in various creative industries, including video games, animation, and visual effects. Artistic and creative directors, digital and technical artists, as well as production and design teams look to illustration as a key component to creative development. In this course you will be lead through hands-on projects, presentations, discussions and critiques that will expose you to a variety of techniques, media and styles as you explore how content, design elements and materials are used in the translation of ideas into images.
