Description

The creative potential of ceramic materials, concepts and technologies are explored, in relation to Design. The class will be focused on the exploration of a specific design problem related to ceramics (domestic forms, light fixtures, pouring vessels, architectural applications, etc.) Following a design process of 2D and 3D sketching and the development of the original concept, the forms will be realized in a small edition, with slip-casting in plaster molds. Studio work, demonstrations, researches and presentations, discussions and critiques form an integral part of this class.

Priority is given to CRCP and VIAR students in Years 3 and 4. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
