| Description | This course explores the intersection of ceramics and architecture, introducing principles pertinent to large-scale projects, public art, and site-specific installations. Students will cultivate a diverse skill set, from crafting public art proposals to hands-on ceramic production, with a focus on seamlessly integrating ceramics within architectural contexts. The curriculum educates on the use of different materials, techniques, processes, and ideas, laying the groundwork for creating artworks within architectural frameworks. Through individual research, presentations, discussions, and critiques, students will actively engage in making work guided by the course material. Priority is given to VIAR and CRCP students in Years 3 and 4. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date. |
