Description (ECIAD)This is a specialized, technical course aimed at providing students with an understanding of glaze materials. The curriculum covers formulation, application, and firing protocols essential for achieving desired results. There is a significant emphasis on deepening students' understanding of glaze materials, including their geological origins, morphological properties, and chemical compositions. Rigorous methodologies are utilized to facilitate a thorough comprehension of creating diverse effects and diagnosing various material faults along with potential remedies. This course acts as a space for crafting materials tailored to individual student interests. Assignments and self-directed projects are integrated components of the class deliverables.
