| Description | Students will research animation projects, either individually or collaboratively in teams, with the objective of developing pre-production artwork towards either student-based or client-originated productions. The specific nature of each course offering will be planned thematically by the instructor on a case-by-case basis. Taking concepts through many stages of pre-production, students will develop and pitch ideas, critique storyboards and animatics, visualize concepts, and examine animation production methods and techniques, according to a variety of industry-based scenarios. As a result of such investigations, individuals and/or groups will workshop and submit a proposal s for major projects, including a statement of intent, budget, production schedule, and animation prototypes with sound. The course consists of lectures, screenings, workshops, and student presentations. This course is subject to priority rules; see here. |
