| Description | This course is an introduction to different ways
of understanding and communicating the many ideas
that constitute our visual culture. Students will
develop visual and conceptual skills essential to
the analysis, understanding, and communication of
ideas about visual forms. In addition to
preparing students for subsequent more
specialized courses, this course examines the
historical relationship between visual work and
the social context in which it is created in
order to foster a greater critical and cultural
awareness of art-making. |
