Audain Faculty of Art

The Audain Faculty of Art fosters critical, contemporary art practice grounded in studio exploration and cultural engagement. Offering majors in Illustration, Photography, Visual Arts and New Music + Sound Art, the faculty supports a wide range of approaches, from experimental and conceptual to material and technical. It is also home to minors in Art + Text, Curatorial Practices and Ecological Practices in Art.

Students learn through making, supported by mentorship, theory and access to state-of-the-art facilities. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, cultural awareness and interdisciplinary inquiry, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to visual culture.
