Research Interests
Continually excited about the spaces where writing and drawing meet, April is an author and illustrator. Her work often explores grief and memory, the humour in everyday narratives, and issues of identity. The illustrator of the middle-grade graphic novel The Blue Road: A fable of migration, and a contributor to the Cloudscape Comics anthology The Witching Hours, her children’s book Nora at Night is forthcoming with Kids Can Press in 2026. In her spare time she enjoys reading, film and TV, and having a good sit.
