Bio

Steven Kinsey is a 25 year veteran of the telecom sector and IT industry. As Executive Vice President of strategy and planning at Charter, a leading communications technology firm, he collaborates with teams to build and execute on Charter’s Run, Grow, and Transform plans. Previously, Steven was Executive Vice President of sales at CounterPath after spending six years with Cisco Canada. Before that, he was the Western Canada Regional Manager at Nortel Networks. Steven is a graduate of the Directors College, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, and has also received executive training at Harvard Business School and the Banff School of Advanced Management. He has a diploma in yacht design and holds a number of records as a competitive sailor. In addition to serving on the Board of the B.C. Oil and Gas Commission for 5 years, Steven also served on the Board of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. He also served on the board of BCNET, a not-for-profit shared information technology services organization that represents the interests of post-secondary and research institutes in B.C.
