Extended Learning
Extended Learning offers accessible and flexible opportunities to explore art and design at Emily Carr university. Overseen by Continuing Studies, these programs welcome learners of all ages who want to build skills, enhance creativity or prepare for future education and careers.
Continuing Studies (Adults)
Our Continuing Studies programs are designed for adult learners at every stage. Choose from short evening or weekend courses, build toward a part-time certificate, or pursue a full-time intensive for career transition. Taught by practicing artists and designers, these courses help you expand your creative practice, strengthen professional skills and develop portfolio-ready work.
Youth Programs (Ages 12–18)
Youth programs give young creatives the chance to learn, play and grow in a supportive environment. From weekend workshops to spring break camps and summer institutes, students explore new media and techniques, connect with peers and begin building portfolios for future study.
