Medhavi Mahesh is pursuing a Bachelor of Media Arts in 3D animation and is currently completing her final year at ECU. Throughout her time at the university, she has been deeply involved in student advocacy, community, organizing and creative initiatives.    Medhavi has served on the Emily Carr Students' Union for nearly three consecutive years and is currently in her second consecutive year representing the union as its External Representative to the B.C. Federation of Students. In this role, she has developed a strong understanding of the importance of student representation, collaboration and advocating for resources that support students within the university and across the province.    For the past three years, Medhavi has also co-led the WIA Collective, helping foster a supportive and inclusive creative community while creating opportunities for students and peers to connect, collaborate, socialize and grow! Alongside her work in student leadership, Medhavi regularly volunteers with film festivals and various other arts and cultural initiatives, contributing her time and learning as she goes.   Medhavi is elated to be a Board of Governors representative this year. Throughout her tenure, she looks forward to contributing thoughtfully to important conversations, bring forward student experiences and work collaboratively.  She hopes to make meaningful contributions during her time on the Board and leave her term knowing that she helped support positive, effective and lasting change.
