Interdisciplinary designer who has navigated across mechanical engineering, outdoor equipment and education, health design from products to policy, and designing with more than human beings. Raymond's family spends most of their time wandering the coastline, slipping on rocks and noticing all the unique and amazing species we live with in Nanaimo, B.C.
Research Interests
Raymond's research includes making and prototyping as ways of noticing, learning and being in living systems. He explores participatory methods, ecological materials, sustainability, health, K-12 education and systemic design as interconnected fields, with particular attention to how design pedagogy can support ecological literacy and cultivate more reciprocal relationships between people and more than human beings.
