Sustainability Resources

Explore sustainability at the ECU Library.

Discover books, media and hands-on resources that highlight sustainability in practice and research.

A mobile cart in the Emily Carr University Library is dedicated to sustainability resources. The cart features shelves filled with books and materials on topics such as recycling, green living, climate change, and more. A sign on the side lists key themes like carbon reduction, economic transition, and sustainable design. The setting is bright and modern, with ample natural light streaming through large windows.

Sustainability Collection

The Library’s rotating Sustainability Collection explores environmental and social sustainability from many perspectives. Alongside books, DVDs and e-resources, you’ll find hands-on items like a birding backpack, binoculars, field guides and a seed swap cabinet stocked with food, flower and dye plant seeds.

You can also recycle used batteries and soft plastics in the Library and explore our Sustainability Resources area for information on ECU and Metro Vancouver initiatives. Books in this collection feature green spine labels and our online Research Guide connects you to even more materials and ideas for sustainable living and learning.
