Description

Explore picture books, cultural documentation and sequential narrative art through this thematic illustration course. You will be introduced to common elements of identity, place, and lived experience within pivotal classic and contemporary narrative works. This course examines several genres, modes and styles of narrative art and how each describes the shared human experience whether through iconography, myths, or legends. Through research, writing and storyboarding, you will experiment with a range of illustration methods and techniques to develop your own story, and refine your personal style complete with characters, settings, and themes.
