Description

If you already have some foundational knowledge in visual arts like fine arts, media arts, or design, this course is for you! Experience what it's like to learn, experiment, and create in a university art studio! This course is designed to help you level up your art skills and prepare for the expectations of university-level visual art programs. You will explore the creative process and learn how to use your artistic voice as a guide for idea development, experimentation, and personal expression. By working with a range of materials, you will explore how your unique perspective can influence your creative choices and artistic style. Studio sessions will include one-to-one consultations, mini-seminars, demos, critiques, and group discussions, giving you a true taste of a university studio course. By the end of the course, you will walk away with portfolio-ready artwork, stronger creative thinking, studio habits, communication skills, and the confidence to thrive in future visual art courses.
