Description

User experience (UX) design is part of our daily lives from the apps you use to the way you interact with your car or buy items from a store. The way experiences are designed can have a fundamental impact on how we interact with the world around us. This course introduces the fundamentals of UX design, specifically the UX design process, essential user research methods, tools for understanding the audience, organizing your information, and designing wireframes. Whether you are new to design or have experience, this course will help you analyze, deconstruct, and create meaningful and engaging user experiences that will give you a foundation for building your own applications, websites, or even XR (extended reality) experiences.

What You'll Learn

  1. Understand each stage of the User Experience Design process and how they fit together as a whole.
  2. Demonstrate how user experience can develop, improve or impact human interaction with analog and digital products and services
  3. Analyze the effectiveness of an existing user experience in our daily lives
  4. Conduct essential user research such as interviews, personas, card sorting, and ethnography to empathize with the audience.
  5. Design low to mid fidelity wireframes that demonstrate user flow, information architecture and functionality
  6. Prepare and present a design meeting with well documented UX process, findings and wireframes
