Description

Unity is one of the most popular 3D development game engines, providing a robust set of tools for the game development industry, while also being accessible for new and aspiring game developers. Whether you are an aspiring game developer, animator, filmmaker or VR enthusiast, this beginner course is your gateway to learning Unity's tools and diverse applications. Explore how you can transform ideas into immersive experiences across fields like animation, film, VR, architecture, and game development. Through hands-on activities and technical projects, you will gain essentials skills in this interactive media engine to create interactive UI mockups, basic games, 3D visualizers for products and assets, or animation for both 2D and 3D designs.

What You'll Learn

  1. Understand the major components of and navigate the software UI with ease
  2. Gain familiarity with the primary engine features including 2D and 3D tools
  3. Understand the project and scene structure
  4. Create and manage game objects and assign components (including scripts and public vars)
  5. Download, install, and integrate assets and packages from the Asset Store and Package Manager
  6. Create basic UI elements like Canvas, Text, Button, etc.
  7. Build and export the project with relevant settings
  8. Explore resources and tools to help students in future endeavours using Unity
