Description

In this course, strengthen your business skills through applied learning across key areas, including business models and budgets, promoting your personal brand, and working with clients. Your creativity defines you, but developing business acumen will help you grow your career, strengthen your value and build more effective relationships with collaborators and clients. You’ll also explore the legal and ethical dimensions of design work, including contracts, intellectual property, spec work, and negotiation strategies. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to scope and price creative work with confidence, lead effective meetings, and protect both your contributions and those of your team in a competitive landscape.

What You'll Learn

  1. Build a compelling personal brand and online presence by identifying a target market and articulating a clear value proposition
  2. Write a business contract for UI/UX or digital design services
  3. Evaluate ethical and legal practices in design, including intellectual property rights, spec work, and contract negotiations
