Apply for Youth Program Scholarships
Financial support is available to help young artists access our creative programs. Scholarships are open to students who identify as Indigenous or who face financial barriers to participation.
- Scholarships are available for these programs: Junior Arts Institute, Summer Institute for Teens and Teen Art Group.
- Scholarship applications can only be submitted when the eligible programs are open for registration. Your scholarship application will be reviewed as part of your overall program registration.

Eligibility
To be considered, you must meet the eligibility criteria listed in the application form. Only complete applications will be reviewed.
Other Information
- Scholarships are limited, so we encourage you to apply early.
- The scholarship covers program fees only. It does not include transportation, accommodation, supplies or meals.
How to Apply
There are two steps to the scholarship application process:
Step 1. Select your program
Choose the program you want to attend. You’ll indicate this during Step 1 in the registration process found below on this page.
Step 2. Provide rationale and additional information
Next, you’ll be asked to share information that helps us understand your eligibility and financial need. This may include personal statements or optional supporting details.

ECU collects personal information for the purpose of administering, delivering and evaluating the program, and the other purposes described in this Consent form, pursuant to section 26(c) of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). All information that students and their guardian provide and any other information collected or created by ECU will be protected and used in compliance with FIPPA. ECU may also use contact information to notify you about future programs that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of such communications at any time.
