In honour of Earth Day we've put together a fun and informative sustainability bingo challenge.
Want to live more sustainably but don’t know where to begin? Already a recycling guru and open to other ways of being green? Participate in a fun challenge over the summer and you could win cool eco-friendly prizes!
This inspiring and informative bingo challenge can start you on your journey, or even help you move beyond individual decisions towards meaningful collective action.
Activities include de-cluttering your email and online files, mending clothing, exploring Indigenous place names, gardening, and divesting from fossil fuels.
For each prompt, we have provided useful links and a bit of contextual information highlighting why that action is important. For example, did you know that in 2018, online video viewing generated 1% of global emissions, the equivalent of greenhouse gases emitted by Spain that same year?
How to participate:
Pick up a risographed bingo card at the library service desk (while supplies last) or download the PDF from our sustainability guide.
Complete five activities in a row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) and return your card to the library service desk by September 30th, 2022 for a chance to win an eco-friendly prize. If you’re using the PDF, you can email the filled out card to library@ecuad.ca
