ITS Client Services (Collaborative Technologies Support + Media Resources + Digital Output Centre) has been working over the summer to upgrade audiovisual spaces, equipment circulation, and printing services in time for the Fall 2024 semester start.
Here's a recap of our new upgrades:
Collaborative Technologies Support
CTS has installed ten new Epson projectors in various classrooms, studios, and computer labs. Certain spaces, like the computer labs B1122 & C1220 and Rennie Hall (B2160), have been fitted with brighter output projectors at 8000 lumens. Additionally, the President's Office Boardroom (D2314) has been transformed into a Microsoft Teams Room (MTS)! Now equipped with a spacious 70" display and a cutting-edge computer-less touch control interface, the boardroom promises seamless and immersive Teams video conference calls.

Media Resources
The Media Resources Centre now has brand new mirrorless cameras: the 32.5 Megapixel Canon R7 and the full-frame Sony A7CII. We are also rolling out new GVM 800D RGB lighting kits, laser projectors, and Micca 4k media players to go with them. Come by the Centre to check out this new gear and ask anything about it, the extensive collection of existing gear, or get advice on your media art projects, or send a message to mediaresources@ecuad.ca.
Digital Output Centre
The DOC has launched new Die-Cut and Kiss-Cut sticker services. Available by appointment on the full-service side of the DOC, these services offer high-quality sticker printing and custom cutting options.
With the new Graphtec CE7000 cutting plotter, the DOC can produce kiss-cut sticker sheets and custom die-cut stickers printed on the Canon C65 colour laser printer in letter—and tabloid-sized sheets. The DOC offers templates for setting up your files and can assist you with this during your appointment.
To book an appointment or inquire further, please email doc@ecuad.ca.
