Encourage your students to use the Writing Centre and get in-class support for specific assignments by booking a class visit or workshop with us!

CLASS VISIT: 1-2 Writing Centre staff will join

your class for a short 10-15 minute conversation about how the Writing

Centre can support their writing development. This is a brief

introduction to the Writing Centre in a Q&A chat-based approach. We

require at least 2-3 days' notice to book this visit.

WORKSHOP + ASSIGNMENT SUPPORT:
We can collaborate with you to plan and deliver a session about a writing topic or assignment particular to your class. Common topics include: understanding the assignment and getting started; types of writing (artist statements, grant applications, research essay); using and citing sources; reading and research strategies; etc. We require at least two weeks' notice to book these types of workshops.

How to book:

You can request a class visit or workshop by emailing us at writingcentre@ecuad.ca

Include the following information in your request:

1. Name of class

2. Location (online or in-person)

3. Time and date

4. Number of students

5. Any additional information that you feel would help us to tailor our presentation to your specific group or assignment (for example, differences in student skill levels, specific assignment goals, etc.)

Feel free to drop by the office (in the ECU Library, 2nd floor) or email us if you have any questions!
