The Faculty of Graduate Studies is thrilled to announce the recipients of the recently launched Future Creative Catalysts Graduate Research Fellowships.

This new initiative offers four second-year graduate-student researchers in the Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design programs a $3,000 award each in the 23-24 academic year to bolster their research pursuits. Created to champion original and meaningful art and design research, these fellowships present a unique opportunity for graduate students to elevate their research and professional endeavors through hands-on projects and research-creation activities.

Please join us in congratulating Faria Firoz (MFA 2024), Cimarron Knight (MFA 2024), Nimi Martins (MDes 2024) and Julie McIntosh (MDes 2024)!

The Faculty of Graduate Studies is committed to supporting high-quality research that will contribute to academic progress and societal improvement. The four recipients of the fellowship, which aims to connect students with our new 2023-28 Strategic Research Plan, conduct creative research at ECU. The fellowship also resonates with one or more of ECU's strategic research plan themes.

We would like to thank all students who applied, and members of the Adjudication Committee, which included representatives of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research Department.

Congratulations again to Faria, Cimarron, Nimi and Julie!
